Privacy policy

This English version is a courtesy translation. The site is published in France and the French text is the only legally binding version.
This site collects the bare minimum. This page says what, why, for how long, and how to take back control.
What we collect
- Audience measurement — page views, referrer, device type, via Google Analytics 4. This sets cookies and only starts if you accept it in the banner shown on your first visit. Legal basis: your consent. No advertising profile is built, no data is sold and no advertising is shown on this site.
- Newsletter sign-up — your email address and, if you wish, your first name. Sign-up is in two steps: you fill in the form, then confirm by clicking the link you receive by email. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw through the unsubscribe link in every mailing.
- Messages you send us — the content of your emails and your address, so we can reply. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in dealing with your request.
- Server logs — IP addresses and requests, kept by the host for security and troubleshooting.
The electrical configurator
The data you enter in the configurator — appliances, powers, lengths — stays in your browser. It is not sent to us and is not stored on any server.
The mini-game and its leaderboard
The game on the page The deck is never clear runs entirely in your browser. Your personal best is kept there, on your device, and does not leave it.
Nothing is sent unless you click “Submit”. If you do, we store on our own servers the crew name you chose and your score, with the date. Nothing else: no IP address, no cookie, no browser identifier, and no third-party service. The leaderboard keeps only the top ten: below that, the entry disappears by itself.
The crew name is public and visible to every visitor. Choose one that does not identify you if you would rather stay anonymous; a nickname is enough. To have an entry removed, just write to us.
For how long
- Newsletter email address: until you unsubscribe, then deleted
- Email exchanges: three years after the last contact
- Aggregated statistics: twenty-five months maximum
- Mini-game crew name and score: as long as the entry stays in the top ten, or until you ask for it to be removed
Your rights
You may at any time ask for access to your data, for it to be corrected or erased, for its processing to be restricted, or object to that processing. One address for all of it: cqs.evidence@gmail.com. If our answer does not satisfy you, you can refer the matter to the French data protection authority, the CNIL.
Cookies
No measurement or advertising cookie is set until you have accepted one. On your first visit, a banner offers you the choice of accepting or refusing audience measurement; refusing is as easy as accepting and changes nothing about how the site works.
- If you accept — Google Analytics sets the cookies
_gaand_ga_<identifier>, kept for thirteen months, used to tell visits apart. The IP address is anonymised. - If you refuse — no Google script is loaded and any measurement cookies already present are deleted.
- Changing your mind — the Manage cookies link at the bottom of every page brings the banner back.
- YouTube videos — they set their own cookies as soon as you start playback, and are then covered by Google’s privacy policy.
- WordPress — a technical cookie is set only if you log in to the site’s administration. It does not concern visitors.
Who processes this data
- OVHcloud — site hosting, servers located in France.
- Brevo — sending the newsletter, a French company, data hosted in the European Union.
- Google Ireland Limited — audience measurement, only if you have accepted it. Data may be transferred outside the European Union under the Data Privacy Framework.
